Gynaecology and Obstetrics – the 14th National Training Conference in Kraków attended by our team
On 24–25 November, the Nestmedic team had the opportunity to present teleCTG Pregnabit at the 14th National Training Conference attended by specialists in gynaecology and obstetrics and organised by the Medycyna Praktyczna Publisher. 1,800 specialists from different parts of Poland took part in this year’s event. Throughout the entire conference, the Nestmedic stand was available to all professionals who wanted to learn about how the Pregnabit system works and how it can support the medical personnel in providing care to pregnant women. The versatile functions of Pregnabit perfectly corresponded with the key topics of this year’s conference, i.e. methods to ensure safety during pregnancy. Pregnabit has been in the market since September this year. Today, it is available to patients of nearly 40 medical centres. However, we want more and more women to enjoy the comfort and safety of performing the CTG tests at home. That is why we also reach out to physicians and obstetricians who wish to improve the quality of care provided to pregnant patients, explains Barbara Załęska, Director for Business Development at Nestmedic. In Kraków, we saw a great deal of interest in Pregnabit and we had many talks with specialists who wanted to learn more about our offer. We also made valuable business contacts which, as I hope, will soon turn into long-term collaboration.

Pregnabit at the Open Day of the Medfemina Hospital
On Saturday, 25 November, we demonstrated how teleCTG Pregnabit works in practice during the Open Day at the Medfemina Hospital in Wrocław. We made more than a dozen presentations for pregnant women and their families. Many women associate the CTG test with a necessary visit to a hospital and long queues, which can be a stressful and uncomfortable situation for future mothers. TeleCTG Pregnabit allows to do the test at any place and any time, so it is no wonder that it has aroused a lot of interest among pregnant women. The appealing design, compactness and easy operation of our device were also much appreciated by the participants in the presentation. What turned out to be an important aspect was the comprehensive scope of our service which combines the Pregnabit system with the Telemonitoring Medical Centre which analyses CTG test results 24/7 and responds if need be. During the conversations we had, women who were pregnant for the first time emphasised their need for feeling safe. They really appreciate that they can use Pregnabit whenever they need and do the test virtually everywhere, says Patrycja Wizińska-Socha, CEO at Nestmedic. Meanwhile, pregnant women who already have kids are happy they can do the test at home. They look after their children, so it is inconvenient for them leave home in order to do the necessary CTG tests. They value the comfort that Pregnabit offers. TeleCTG Pregnabit has been available at the Medfemina Health Centre since October this year. It is there for the patients of the Centre and of the first private gynaecology and obstetrics hospital in Wrocław.

Nestmedic at the Web Summit in Lisbon
On 6–7 November, our representatives attended the world’s largest tech event: Web Summit 2017 in Lisbon. The conference gathered over 60 thousand participants and it was a great opportunity for meetings, networking and sharing experiences with start-ups from all over the world. We have made valuable contacts in medical circles from our target foreign markets. The Web Summit is an event that shares precious information and knowledge about the global scaling of start-ups and brand building. We are extremely glad that we could meet and hear inspiring business leaders, including those from the sector of medical technologies, e.g. Karen Tierney from SilverCloud Health or Elina Beglund from Natural Cycles. The Lisbon conference was another opportunity for us to make new contacts with distributors interested in the implementation of the Pregnabit system in foreign markets. We also had a chance to talk with venture capital entrepreneurs who invest in the sector of medical technologies, says Barbara Załęska, Director for Strategy and Development at Nestmedic. The next big event in the medical sector will be the Medica Trade Fair. Until Thursday (16 Nov) we are in Düsseldorf and we invite all visitors interested in the Pregnabit system!
